Amritsar Gangsters Fire at Chemist Shop and Saloon, Police Launch Manhunt
Gangsters Open Fire at Amritsar Shop and Saloon

In a brazen act of violence, unidentified gangsters opened fire at two separate commercial establishments in Amritsar's Green Avenue area late on Monday night. The attacks targeted a chemist shop and a nearby saloon, sending shockwaves through the locality.

Sequence of the Terrifying Attacks

The incident occurred around 11:30 PM on Monday. According to the police, the assailants first arrived at the Green Avenue residence of a man named Ravinder Singh. Failing to find him at home, they proceeded to his business, the Green Avenue Medical Hall.

The attackers fired multiple shots at the chemist shop. Subsequently, they moved to a neighboring salon, Prince Hair Dresser, and fired at that establishment as well. Preliminary investigations suggest the attacks are linked to an ongoing gang rivalry.

Police Investigation and Gangland Links

The Amritsar police have registered a case and launched a major investigation. Officials are working on the theory that the firing is connected to inter-gang conflicts. The intended target, Ravinder Singh, is reportedly associated with gangster Deepak Tinu, who is currently incarcerated.

Police sources indicate that the attack might be a retaliatory strike from a rival gang faction. Forensic teams have collected evidence from the crime scenes, and CCTV footage from the area is being scrutinized to identify the culprits.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Amritsar, Ranjit Singh Dhillon, confirmed that no injuries were reported in the incident. He stated that a special investigative team is pursuing all leads to apprehend the shooters swiftly.

Community Fear and Calls for Action

The twin shootings have created an atmosphere of fear and insecurity among local residents and business owners in the Green Avenue neighborhood. Such incidents highlight the persistent challenge of gang-related violence in certain parts of the region.

The police have assured the public of intensified patrolling and promised quick action. The investigation remains active, with authorities determined to crack down on the gangs involved and restore a sense of safety to the community.
