A routine commute to work turned fatal for a 34-year-old man in Bengaluru on Monday morning. A speeding garbage truck collided with his scooter near Sirsi Circle on Mysuru Road, crushing him to death.

Incident Details

The victim, identified as Satish, was a resident of Goripalya near JJ Nagar. He worked as an attendant at a private firm near Town Hall. According to police, Satish left home as usual and was heading towards Town Hall around 9:30 am. As he approached Sirsi Circle, a GBA garbage truck struck his scooter. The impact threw Satish onto the road, and he was run over by the rear wheel of the truck, resulting in his death.

Driver Investigation

The Chamarajpet traffic police subjected the truck driver, Narasimhalu, 36, to an alcometer test, which returned a negative result for alcohol consumption.
