In a surprising development in Gaya, police arrested Dr Satendra Kumar on Friday. He serves as the head of the neurosurgery department at Anugrah Narain Magadh Medical College Hospital. Authorities took him into custody for allegedly filing a false complaint about extortion and death threats against his estranged wife.

Dr Kumar had lodged an FIR at the local police station just a few days before his arrest. In his complaint, he claimed that his wife, Vibha Kumari, received two threatening phone calls. City SP Kota Kiran addressed the media about the case. He stated that police cannot disclose full details at this stage. "Necessary information will be shared at the appropriate time," the City SP said.
