In a disturbing incident from Uttar Pradesh, a man has been apprehended by police after a video depicting a group of youths vandalising a grave in Ghaziabad gained widespread attention on social media. The video, which police estimate to be approximately two months old but surged in popularity on Monday, captures several young men using hammers to demolish a grave located on a road in the Bihari Nagar area, under the jurisdiction of the GT Road police station. According to officials, six individuals can be seen in the footage, aggressively breaking the structure while shouting slogans, raising concerns about communal harmony and public safety.
An FIR was promptly registered at the Ghaziabad police station on Monday, leading to the arrest of a suspect identified as Adarsh Dubey, aged 28. Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Upasna Pandey stated that the investigation was initiated as soon as the video gained traction, with sub-inspector Ankit Rathore filing the official complaint.
