A tragic incident occurred in Deoria district late Tuesday night, where a 13-year-old girl lost her life after being struck by a bullet allegedly fired from a licensed pistol. The victim, Gopi Barnwal, a resident of Sadat in Ghazipur district, had been visiting her uncle Sushil Barnwal's home on Mohan Road since June 15.

According to police reports, the event unfolded around 11 p.m. when a gunshot was heard emanating from a room within the house. Family members rushed to the scene upon hearing the noise and discovered the teenager lying in a pool of blood. She had sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the spot.
