Pratap Singh, a resident of Jamalpur, was traveling towards Tajpur Road on his scooter when he witnessed two men snatch a mobile phone from a commuter. Without hesitation, he gave chase and managed to corner the pair a short distance away.

Confrontation and Attack

However, during the confrontation, the suspects overpowered Partap Singh, thrashing him severely before fleeing the scene. Speaking to police investigators, Singh stated, "I tried to apprehend them, but they attacked me." The incident highlights the risks faced by citizens who attempt to intervene in crimes.

Police Investigation

Moti Nagar police have since identified the suspects as Shivam Verma and Manu, both residents of local colonies in Jamalpur. Assistant Sub-Inspector Ajmer Singh, the investigating officer, confirmed that an FIR has been lodged and a manhunt is underway to apprehend the accused. The police are urging the public to come forward with any information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects.
