In a tragic dowry death case in Greater Noida, the police have arrested the husband's mother and uncle for their alleged involvement in the murder of a 25-year-old woman. The victim, identified as Priya, was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her in-laws' residence in the Bisrakh area on Tuesday.

According to the police, Priya was married two years ago and had been facing constant harassment from her in-laws over dowry demands. On the day of the incident, she was found hanging in her room. The family initially claimed it was a suicide, but the victim's parents alleged foul play and filed a complaint.

Based on the complaint, the police registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Dowry Prohibition Act. During the investigation, the authorities interrogated the family members and gathered evidence pointing towards the involvement of the husband's mother and uncle. They were taken into custody on Wednesday.
The arrested accused have been identified as Sushila Devi, the mother-in-law, and Ramesh Kumar, the uncle-in-law. They have been booked for murder and dowry death. The police are also questioning the husband, who is currently absconding.
