A 19-year-old man allegedly died by suicide in the Kherki Daula area of Gurgaon on Saturday morning. According to police, Vishal jumped from the third floor of a building in Bhangrola village following an argument with a woman with whom he was in a live-in relationship.
Incident Details
Police stated that a quarrel broke out between the couple over an undisclosed matter. A senior police officer said, It has come to light that a quarrel broke out between the two over some matter. Further action will be taken on the basis of the facts that emerge. The couple had informed their landlord that they were married, though they were not.
Vishal, a native of Manona village in Uttar Pradesh's Agra district, was living with the woman in a rented accommodation on the second floor of the building. He worked at a private company in the Kherki Daula area. After the argument, Vishal took his bag and left the room, apparently heading to work. Instead, he went to the roof on the third floor and jumped.
Response and Investigation
Upon receiving information, police arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. The body was sent for an autopsy. Police confirmed that both families were aware of the consensual relationship. Children playing nearby raised an alarm, and Vishal was rushed to ESI Hospital in Manesar in critical condition. He was later referred to Civil Hospital in Sector 10, where he died during treatment.
Police have informed the deceased's family and are questioning the woman as part of the investigation. On Sunday, the body was handed over to the family.
