A tragic road accident in Gurgaon has claimed the life of a 66-year-old farmer, with police launching an investigation into the incident that occurred on Saturday afternoon. The victim, identified as Dharmsingh, a resident of Kasan village in Manesar, was hit by a speeding car on Kharkhari Road near a liquor shop in the IMT Manesar area.

According to police reports, Dharmsingh had gone to his agricultural fields on March 1 along with his nephew, Naresh Kumar. The two were returning home after completing their work around 12:30 PM when the accident occurred. Naresh Kumar, who witnessed the incident, stated in his police complaint that his uncle was walking approximately 100 steps ahead of him when a white Maruti Brezza with registration number HR 26 FT 6775 approached from the opposite direction at dangerously high speed.
The vehicle struck Dharmsingh with significant force, leaving him critically injured. Naresh immediately rushed to his uncle's aid and transported him to Fortis Hospital in Manesar for emergency medical attention. Tragically, doctors at the hospital declared Dharmsingh brought dead upon arrival, unable to save him from the severe injuries sustained in the collision.
Police Investigation and Legal Action
Law enforcement authorities received information about the road accident from hospital staff, prompting a response team from the IMT Sector-7 police station to arrive at the medical facility. Officers collected the medico-legal report and completed all necessary formalities related to the case. The victim's body was subsequently transferred to the mortuary for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
Based on the written complaint submitted by the grieving family members, police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the unidentified driver of the Maruti Brezza. The case has been filed under sections 281 (rash driving) and 106 (causing death by negligence) of the newly implemented Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the IMT Manesar police station.
