Gurgaon Man Succumbs to Injuries After Hit-and-Run Incident at Rajiv Chowk
A tragic hit-and-run accident in Gurgaon has claimed the life of a 35-year-old man, identified as Ashish Kumar Pandey. The incident occurred at Rajiv Chowk while he was returning from Delhi, and he passed away a day after being rushed to the hospital.

On Saturday night, Ashish Kumar Pandey was crossing the road at Rajiv Chowk when an unidentified vehicle, reportedly traveling at high speed, struck him. The impact caused him to fall, resulting in severe injuries to his head and other parts of his body. Bystanders and locals quickly intervened, rushing him to Medanta Hospital for emergency treatment.
Despite medical efforts, Pandey succumbed to his injuries the following day. He was employed with Rodik Consultant Private Limited in the human resources department at its Delhi office, and he hailed from Pratapgarh in Uttar Pradesh. Pandey lived in a rented accommodation in Sector 11's Shanti Nagar locality with his wife and their two-year-old son.

On Monday, Pandey's wife approached the Naharpur police outpost and submitted a written complaint detailing the incident. Based on the complaint and medical documents, the police registered a case under sections 281 (rash driving or riding on a public way) and 106 (causing death by negligence) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Sadar police station.
A police officer stated, "We are examining CCTV footage from the Rajiv Chowk area and nearby roads to trace the driver who fled the spot after the collision." The investigation is ongoing, with authorities working to identify and apprehend the responsible driver.

Ashish Kumar Pandey was described by friends as a dedicated professional and family man. A friend, Amit, shared, "On March 8, he went to Delhi for some work. He went to Uttam Nagar to give the token amount for a flat that he was going to purchase." This highlights his plans for a stable future with his family, cut short by the unfortunate accident.
