Gurgaon Man Critically Injured in Dwarka Expressway Crash, Truck Driver Flees Scene

A 28-year-old man sustained serious injuries in Gurgaon on Tuesday after his motorcycle rammed into a mixer truck that had abruptly applied brakes and come to a sudden stop on the Dwarka Expressway. The injured individual, identified as Alok Kumar, a resident of Sikanderpur, was rushed to a private hospital in Sector 90 with severe injuries and excessive blood loss.

Details of the Accident and Police Investigation

According to a complaint filed by his brother, Ankit Mishra, the two were returning home on separate motorcycles after work when the incident occurred. Ankit stated that as Alok approached a stretch near the expressway, a mixer truck, allegedly being driven at high speed, applied sudden brakes in the middle of the road, causing Alok's motorcycle to crash into the rear of the vehicle. The truck driver immediately fled the spot, abandoning the truck.

Ankit, who was riding behind, quickly assisted his brother and arranged transportation to the hospital. At the medical facility, Alok was declared unfit to provide a statement due to the severity of his condition. Based on the complaint and a medico-legal certificate (MLC), police registered an FIR under sections 281 (rash driving) and 125(a) (act endangering life) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Sector 37 police station.
