Sixth Accused Arrested in Firing at Elvish Yadav's Residence

Gurugram police have arrested the sixth accused in connection with the firing incident at YouTuber Elvish Yadav's residence in Sector 57. The arrested individual, identified as Bhavishya Dahiya (31), a resident of Sector 34, Suncity, Rohtak, Haryana, was taken into custody by the Crime Branch, Sector 43, on Friday night.

According to a senior police officer, Dahiya was a business partner of Yadav, and the attack was motivated by a financial dispute and greed for money. The officer stated, "During police interrogation, it was revealed that Bhavishya Dahiya and Elvish Yadav were business partners. Due to a financial dispute and greed for money, the accused, along with another co-accused, allegedly conspired to execute the attack and got the crime carried out with the help of other accused persons. With this arrest, a total of six accused have been arrested in the case so far. We are questioning the accused."

Details of the Firing Incident

The firing incident occurred on August 17, 2025, at Yadav's house. Police received information and dispatched a team to the scene. Yadav's father submitted a complaint stating that at around 5:25 am, three unidentified assailants arrived on a motorbike and opened indiscriminate fire at the ground floor and first floor of the residence. The attackers then fled the scene. The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras.

Based on the complaint, an FIR was registered at Police Station Sector-56, Gurugram, under relevant sections of law. Prior to Dahiya's arrest, police had already apprehended five other accused in the case.

Ongoing Investigation

Police are continuing their investigation and questioning the arrested accused to uncover further details about the conspiracy and the roles of other individuals involved. The motive remains linked to financial disputes between the business partners.
