In a significant breakthrough, the Economic Offences Branch (EOB) of Fatehabad police in Haryana has arrested the primary accused in a distressing case involving the alleged duping of a youth of Rs 35 lakh and his subsequent illegal transportation to the United States via the notorious "donkey route." The accused, identified as Satish from Samain village in Fatehabad, is currently under intensive interrogation by authorities.

The case was officially registered last year at the Tohana Sadar police station under the stringent provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The accused allegedly confiscated his passport and mobile phone, subjecting him to severe harassment and leaving him vulnerable in a foreign land. In a desperate bid to enter the United States illegally, Ankush attempted to cross the border, only to be apprehended by American authorities. He subsequently spent nearly nine months in jail before being deported back to India, underscoring the harsh realities of such illegal ventures.
