Sasaram: Fear has spread across Kaimur district after police recovered two more mutilated and headless bodies late Tuesday night, barely 48 hours after a similar incident was reported in the district.
Discovery of Bodies
Police said body parts of a woman and a child were found stuffed into two plastic sacks near the Abhaide canal under Ramgarh police station. The sacks had been dumped around 100 metres apart along the canal embankment. Villagers spotted the suspicious sacks and alerted police. Police said the bodies had been cut into several pieces, making identification difficult.
Previous Incident
The latest recovery came two days after dismembered bodies were found inside a suitcase near the Durgawati river bridge at Panserwan under Durgawati police station.
Investigation Underway
Senior police officers, including Kaimur SP Harimohan Shukla, Mohania DSP Pradeep Kumar and forensic teams, reached the spot and launched an investigation. Police sealed the area and carried out searches along nearby roads and canal banks.
