A newly married woman's tragic death under mysterious circumstances has sent shockwaves through Bass Khurd village in Hisar district. The victim, identified as 25-year-old Kiran, was found dead with severe injuries on her head and legs, raising serious questions about the events leading to her demise.
Family Alleges Brutal Dowry Harassment
Kiran's parents, who traveled from Barka village in Uttar Pradesh's Deoria district, reached Hansi civil hospital to identify their daughter's body. After viewing the remains in the mortuary, they made shocking allegations of dowry-related harassment and murder. In their official police statement, they claimed that Kiran had been subjected to continuous torment over dowry demands since her marriage eight months ago.
Vyas, Kiran's brother, revealed that his sister had married Vikas of Bass Khurd village approximately eight months ago. Soon after the wedding, disputes over dowry allegedly intensified, with Vikas frequently assaulting and harassing the young bride. The family specifically alleged that on November 26, Vikas brutally beat Kiran, causing injuries that ultimately proved fatal.
Police Register Case and Launch Investigation
Based on the family's detailed complaint, Bass police station has registered a dowry murder case against Vikas. Balwan Singh, the in-charge of Bass police station, confirmed to media that all aspects of the case are being thoroughly investigated. He emphasized that clarity about the exact cause of death would emerge after the postmortem examination report is received.
