In a deeply distressing incident from Hisar, Haryana, a 20-year-old youth has allegedly died by suicide following accusations of persistent harassment and blackmail by a schoolteacher. The tragic event unfolded in the Adampur area, where the young man was found deceased in his rented accommodation. The local police have swiftly registered a formal case against the accused woman teacher based on a detailed complaint filed by the grieving father of the victim.
Details of the Incident and Police Action
The deceased has been identified as Anurag, a resident of Kohli village in the region. His lifeless body was discovered hanging from a ceiling fan in a rented house located in the Boga Mandi area of Adampur. In response to this heartbreaking discovery, the Adampur police station has taken legal action by filing a case under Section 108, which pertains to abetment to suicide, of the newly enacted Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The primary accused in this case is Anu, a schoolteacher hailing from Jagjivanpura village in Fatehabad district.
Father's Allegations and Background of the Relationship
According to the official complaint submitted by Bhagat Singh, the father of the deceased, his son Anurag was a student at a private school in Sadalpur where the accused teacher was employed. The two individuals had maintained contact for nearly two years and had been cohabiting in a rented residence in Adampur for approximately one year. Bhagat Singh recounted that when the woman teacher visited their family home in Kohli village about a year ago, the family attempted to persuade her to terminate the relationship, but she firmly refused to do so.
The complainant further alleged that the accused teacher was consistently demanding money from Anurag and had issued threats to falsely implicate him in various criminal cases. In a particularly alarming revelation, Bhagat Singh stated that just a few days prior to the tragic incident, Anurag visited home and confided in him about being threatened with false allegations, including a fabricated rape case, which left him living in constant fear for his life.
Events Leading to the Discovery and Ongoing Investigation
On the fateful night of April 1, the accused teacher allegedly contacted the family via telephone to inform them that Anurag had died by suicide. The family members, accompanied by relatives, immediately rushed to the scene where police authorities were already present. Upon arrival, they found Anurag's body lying on the floor with a scarf tied to the ceiling fan, indicating the method of the tragic suicide.
Bhagat Singh has emphatically stated that his son was driven to take this extreme step due to severe mental distress and psychological torment caused by the accused teacher's actions. The local police have confirmed that a thorough investigation is currently underway to examine all aspects of the case, gather evidence, and determine the full sequence of events that led to this unfortunate loss of a young life. The community remains in shock as authorities work diligently to uncover the truth behind these serious allegations.
