Discovery of the Body and Police Response
On Thursday morning, locals made a grim discovery when they found Vijaya's body lying in a pool of blood near a petrol pump in Dammaiguda. She had left her home for work at 8:30 am on Wednesday and had not returned, prompting concerns among her family and neighbors.
Upon receiving information from the locals, police teams swiftly arrived at the scene. ACP Jawaharnagar S Chakrapani stated, "Our teams reached the spot immediately after being alerted. We called in a CLUES team to collect forensic evidence from the area. Preliminary investigations indicate that the victim suffered a severe bleeding injury to the head, likely caused by a blunt object, and died on the spot. The attack appears to have been carried out by unknown assailants."

Based on a complaint filed by Vijaya's family, the Jawaharnagar police have registered a case under section 103 (1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which pertains to murder.
