Hyderabad Horror: Drunken Brawl Turns Deadly, Goldsmith Stabbed 12 Times in Public

A violent argument fueled by alcohol ended in tragedy on Sunday night in Hyderabad. A man brutally hacked a goldsmith to death in full public view at Chatrinaka. The shocking incident left the victim with at least twelve stab wounds.

Victim and Attacker Identified

Police identified the deceased as thirty-two-year-old Satish Chawle. He was a resident of Shamsheergunj. The attacker is Jay Chander, an acquaintance of Satish. Both men lived in the same locality but were not friends.

Stunned onlookers watched the horrific scene unfold. Jay Chander repeatedly attacked Satish with a knife on the road. The assault continued until Satish collapsed in a pool of blood. Jay Chander then fled the spot immediately after the attack.

The Fatal Argument

Chatrinaka inspector K Nagender Prasad Verma provided details of the initial confrontation. "First, the accused came to the wine shop with his friends. Later, the victim arrived with a friend," the inspector said.

"They were seated at different tables in the permit room but in close proximity. On hearing something Satish said, Jay Chander took objection and an argument broke out. Satish allegedly hurled abuses," Verma explained.

This verbal clash turned deadly. Jay Chander abruptly left the wine shop. He returned shortly, armed with a knife. He then launched a vicious attack on Satish, leading to his death.

Desperate Call for Help

In a police complaint, Satish's cousin Sudeep recounted the victim's final moments. Satish had called Sudeep, asking him to rush to the wine shop after the quarrel with Jay Chander.

By the time Sudeep and four other relatives reached the spot, Satish was waiting outside. The situation deteriorated rapidly. Two unidentified men arrived on a two-wheeler and began assaulting him. Jay Chander then joined them and repeatedly stabbed Satish.

Aftermath and Police Action

Alerted by local residents, police rushed to the scene. They took Satish to Osmania General Hospital. Doctors at the hospital declared him brought dead upon arrival. The victim suffered severe injuries to his chest, face, and abdomen.

Satish was a native of Karnataka. He had been living in Hyderabad for several years along with his family. Five of his relatives were present in the area at the time of the attack.

Some onlookers recorded the entire violent incident on their mobile phones. A video of the attack later went viral on various social media platforms.

Police have registered a case based on the complaint. They are now actively searching for the accused, Jay Chander. The investigation into this brutal public killing continues.
