Hyderabad Police Book Four Youths for Dangerous Bike Stunts on Public Roads
In a significant crackdown on reckless driving, the Attapur police in Hyderabad have registered a formal case against four young individuals for performing dangerous bike stunts on public roads. The incident, which occurred on March 27, saw the accused riding in a highly negligent manner, posing severe risks to other commuters and pedestrians.
Reckless Behavior During Police Patrol
The youths were first spotted by police officers during a routine patrol in the Attapur area. According to official reports, the riders were engaging in stunts that involved speeding, weaving through traffic, and other maneuvers that blatantly disregarded public safety protocols. Their actions created a hazardous environment on the busy roads, prompting immediate intervention from law enforcement.
When signaled to stop by the patrolling team, the accused attempted to flee the scene, escalating the situation. However, the police managed to apprehend them after a brief pursuit, bringing them to the station for further questioning and legal action.
Identification and Legal Charges
The four individuals involved have been identified as Amer Baba, Mohammed Ashwaq, Mohammed Sameeruddin, and Nashit Atas Mohammed. Police authorities stated that the riders acted in a rash and negligent manner, fully aware of the potential dangers their stunts posed to public safety.
A formal case has been registered under Sections 125, 281, and 292 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act. These sections typically cover offenses related to endangering life or personal safety of others, rash driving, and disobedience to lawful orders, highlighting the seriousness of the incident.
