The deceased has been identified as Benny, aged 53, a resident of Mangappara Nagar in Chenkulam, Anachal. According to preliminary reports, Benny had entered the well to place concrete rings as part of its construction process. While performing this task at the bottom of the well, he suddenly collapsed due to severe suffocation.

Emergency response teams, including local residents, Vellathooval police personnel, and Adimali fire and rescue services, rushed to the scene immediately upon receiving the alert. They worked swiftly to extract Benny from the confined space of the well. Despite being shifted promptly to a hospital in Adimali for medical attention, doctors confirmed that he had succumbed to his condition.
