Illicit Liquor Seized in Sultanpur Lodhi Raids

The Excise Department carried out raids in Toti and Latian villages under the Sultanpur Lodhi subdivision, confiscating a substantial quantity of illicit liquor and materials used for its production.

Raids in Toti Village

During the operation, officials seized approximately 2000 litres of lahan stored in drums and 20 litres of illicit liquor from an abandoned location in Toti village. The seized items were destroyed on the spot in accordance with standard procedures.

Raids in Latian Village

Similarly, a raid in Latian village led to the seizure of 50 litres of illicit liquor found at an abandoned site. The liquor was immediately destroyed to prevent its distribution and consumption.

Official Statement

Excise Officer Sukhjit Singh Chahal stated that the raids were conducted with the support of excise inspector Jatinderpal Singh of the Sultanpur Circle, excise personnel, and the Sultanpur Lodhi police. He affirmed the department's commitment to cracking down on the illegal liquor trade and vowed to eliminate it entirely. He warned that strict action would be taken against individuals involved in the manufacture, transportation, and sale of illicit liquor.
