A routine domestic flight turned into a high-alert security situation when a Mangaluru-bound IndiGo aircraft was compelled to execute an emergency landing at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru on Thursday.

The dramatic incident unfolded after airport authorities received what later proved to be a completely fabricated bomb threat against the aircraft. Following standard security protocols, the flight was immediately directed to make a precautionary landing back at its departure point.

Emergency Protocols Activated

As per aviation security procedures, the aircraft was isolated on the tarmac upon landing. Security personnel including Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) teams swiftly cordoned off the area while thorough checks were conducted.
