The incident occurred on April 6 in Sanvid Nagar, located near Kanadia Road. According to police reports, the complainant, 26-year-old Pintu Panchal, was present in the locality when three youths arrived on a motorcycle. They began verbally abusing Durgesh Chauhan regarding an old dispute connected to pending dues. When Chauhan objected to the abuse, the situation rapidly deteriorated into a physical confrontation.

The primary accused, identified as Sahil Kaithwas, allegedly brandished a knife and launched an attack on Chauhan. Simultaneously, the two juveniles accompanying him picked up stones and joined in the assault, creating a coordinated and dangerous attack. The trio reportedly issued threats before fleeing the scene, leaving the victim injured and the community alarmed.

Police Response and Arrest of the Accused

Following the incident, a case was promptly registered at the Tilak Nagar police station. Police teams were immediately deployed to track down the suspects. Acting on specific intelligence inputs, officers located and apprehended the accused from the Badi Gwaltoli area. During the operation, the weapon used in the knife attack was successfully seized as evidence.

In a dramatic turn during the chase, Sahil Kaithwas attempted to evade arrest by jumping over a boundary wall. However, he sustained a leg injury in the process and was subsequently taken to MY Hospital for necessary medical treatment before being formally taken into custody.

Regarding the two juveniles involved, police called their guardians to the station for counseling sessions.
