Bhopal: The daughter of a senior IPS officer died by suicide at the family’s government residence in Bhopal’s high-profile Char Imli area on Monday night. The deceased was a Class 12 student. She was found hanging inside her room in the house. No suicide note was recovered, so the reason behind her extreme step has not been ascertained yet.
Details of the Incident
Habibganj SHO Sanjeev Chouksey said that the girl was a student of Class 12. According to SHO Chouksey, around 3 pm, when the IPS officer returned home, a domestic help informed him that the girl was in her room. When she did not respond to repeated knocks, the officer managed to open the door and found her body. Police have sent the body for post-mortem.
Investigation Underway
Investigators are examining the teenager’s mobile phone and digital activity to ascertain the circumstances that may have led to the incident. The police are also questioning family members and staff to gather more information. No foul play is suspected at this stage, but all angles are being explored.
