Jabalpur Youths Detained for Brutal Assault on Teenager Over Liquor Money
In a shocking incident in Jabalpur, three youths were detained by police on Tuesday for allegedly stripping and assaulting a teenage boy. The attack occurred last week after the victim refused to give them money for purchasing liquor, according to authorities.
Details of the Assault
The incident reportedly took place near Muktidham in the Gwarighat area of Jabalpur. Police said the accused allegedly dragged the victim to a secluded spot where they subjected him to physical abuse. In addition to the assault, the youths forced the teenager to hit himself with shoes while they recorded the entire act on video.
Video Goes Viral and Police Action
The recorded video of the assault subsequently surfaced on social media platforms and quickly went viral. After seeing the video circulating online, the victim approached police late Monday and filed a formal complaint about the incident.
Acting swiftly on the complaint, police registered a case against the three accused individuals, who have been identified as Keshu, Raghav, and Rajesh. All three were taken into custody following the registration of the case.
