Two Hit-and-Run Incidents in Jaipur Claim Lives of Motorcyclists Within Hours

Two men lost their lives in separate hit-and-run accidents in Jaipur late Monday night. Police confirmed the tragic incidents occurred within hours of each other. Both victims were returning home on their motorcycles when speeding vehicles struck them.

First Accident in Kardhani Area

Head Constable Mahaveer from Accident Thana (West) provided details about the first incident. It happened in the Kardhani area on 80 Feet Road. Anil Jangid, a 40-year-old carpenter from Khandela in Sikar district, was riding his motorcycle home.

A speeding pickup truck hit him on the road. Jangid sustained severe injuries in the collision. Passersby rushed him to Kanwatiya Hospital for emergency treatment. Doctors at the hospital examined him but could not save his life. They declared him dead upon arrival.

The driver of the pickup truck did not stop after the accident. Police reports indicate the driver fled the scene immediately. Authorities are now searching for this absconding driver.

Second Accident on VKI Road 1

The second hit-and-run occurred barely two hours later on VKI Road 1. Shubham Pandey, a 30-year-old bank manager from Jaipur's Vishwakarma area, was riding his motorcycle. An overspeeding truck coming from the opposite direction struck him.

Witnesses found Pandey's bloodied body lying on the road after the collision. They quickly alerted the local police about the accident. Emergency responders transported him to Kanwatiya Hospital as well.

Medical personnel at the hospital pronounced Pandey dead. The truck driver also fled the scene without stopping. Police confirmed this driver remains at large.

Police Investigation and Family Impact

Police authorities have registered separate cases for both incidents. Investigation teams are working diligently to trace the two absconding drivers. They are examining evidence from both accident sites.

Officers revealed both victims served as the sole breadwinners for their families. This double tragedy has left two households without their primary providers. The community is mourning the loss of these two individuals.

These incidents highlight ongoing concerns about road safety in the city. Police urge drivers to exercise caution and follow traffic regulations. They emphasize the importance of stopping after accidents to assist victims.
