Jaipur Police Arrests Man in Fatal Food Stall Ramming Case

Police in Jaipur made a significant arrest on Sunday. They captured a 32-year-old man named Dinesh Ranwa. Authorities accuse him of a serious crime that shocked the city earlier this month.

The Incident That Sparked a Manhunt

On January 9, a car ploughed into roadside food stalls at Kharbas Circle near Mansarovar. This reckless act resulted in one person losing their life. Several others sustained injuries in the terrifying incident. The driver then fled the scene, leaving chaos behind.

A Coordinated Police Effort

DCP (South) Rajarshi Raj Varma led the investigation. He stated that a special police team worked tirelessly to find the culprit. Their manhunt extended across several districts, showing the case's high priority.

Police revealed that Ranwa was not alone during the escape. He had accomplices named Mukesh, Pappu, and Mangi Lal. These individuals allegedly helped him avoid capture immediately after the crime.

Arrests and Financial Investigation

Authorities have already arrested Mukesh and Pappu. They were taken into custody last week. Police also detained several other people who supposedly provided assistance to the main accused.

This aid included money, transport, and shelter to help Ranwa evade arrest. As part of the probe, police froze the accused's bank accounts and UPI handles. This move aimed to cut off his financial resources.

Extensive Evidence Collection

Officers conducted raids at solar power plant sites linked to Dinesh Ranwa. They meticulously scanned CCTV footage from numerous locations. This included hotels, dhabas, and truck halting points along Jaipur's Ring Road.

The investigation team examined footage from around 500 CCTV cameras. They conducted thorough searches along more than 100 kilometers of the Ring Road and adjoining highways. This massive effort highlights the determination to solve the case.

The Final Capture

Police finally traced and arrested Dinesh Ranwa from the Ring Road area. They used a combination of technical surveillance and informer inputs to locate him. This ended an extensive search that spanned weeks.

Further investigation is currently underway. Police aim to establish the full sequence of events from that fateful day. They are also working to determine the exact role of everyone who allegedly aided the accused.

The Jaipur Police continue their probe to ensure justice for the victims and their families.
