Jaipur Police Crack Rs 5 Lakh Daylight Robbery, Arrest 4
Jaipur Police solve Rs 5 lakh e-mitra robbery, arrest 4

In a significant breakthrough, the Jaipur City Police have successfully solved a brazen daylight robbery involving Rs 5 lakh, which was snatched from an e-mitra collection employee last month. The authorities have arrested four accused individuals and detained a minor boy for his alleged role in facilitating the crime.

How the Daylight Heist Was Executed

The incident, which sent shockwaves through the Jaysinghpura Khor area, was reported on December 29. According to police details, the e-mitra employee was on a motorcycle after collecting daily payments. A bag containing the cash was hanging from the vehicle. Two helmeted men on another bike tailed him, swiftly snatched the bag, and vanished into the labyrinth of narrow market lanes. A formal case was immediately registered at the Jaysinghpura Khor police station.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Karan Sharma stated that the robbery was not a crime of opportunity but a meticulously pre-planned operation. Investigations revealed that the accused had gathered precise intelligence about the collection staff's timings and route. This critical information was allegedly supplied by a minor boy who worked at a local accessories and e-mitra shop. After conducting reconnaissance for four to five days, the gang chose the perfect moment to strike when the employee was departing with the cash.

The Massive CCTV Manhunt and Arrests

Cracking the case required a massive technological effort. Police teams scoured footage from nearly 500 CCTV cameras to painstakingly trace the suspects' escape path. The trail led them through Jamdoli Road and Rohit Nagar. Instead of heading to their homes, the clever culprits checked into a hotel, celebrated New Year's Eve on Kalwar Road, and then fled Jaipur, travelling via Kota to Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh.

It was in Ujjain that the police teams finally apprehended the four accused. They have been identified as Hemant Singh Naruka (20), Shiv Sain alias Babu (22), Himanshu Saini (23), and Dipesh Soni (19). All are residents of Jaipur or nearby districts. The minor, accused of being the informant, was detained and presented before the juvenile justice authorities.

Ongoing Investigations and Recovery Efforts

DCP Karan Sharma confirmed that while the primary suspects are in custody, the investigation is far from over. Intensive efforts are underway to recover the entire stolen amount of Rs 5 lakh. Furthermore, the police are now working to verify if this gang has involvement in other similar robbery cases in the region. The successful resolution of this case highlights the effectiveness of combining traditional intelligence with modern video surveillance analysis.

The arrest serves as a strong warning to criminals and offers reassurance to the public, especially those involved in cash-handling duties. The Jaipur Police have demonstrated that even crimes planned with precision can be unravelled through determined investigation.
