Tension and anger gripped Nima Rang village under the Khaira police station area in Bihar's Jamui district on Wednesday morning following the tragic death of a 38-year-old man. The victim, identified as Nirmal Singh, passed away on Tuesday night after allegedly being assaulted while attempting to mediate a dispute between relatives on April 18.

Road Blockade and Demands for Justice

Enraged villagers blocked a key road and raised loud slogans against the local administration, bringing traffic to a standstill for several hours. The protestors placed Nirmal Singh's body near a gas agency where he worked as a vehicle driver, using the demonstration to voice their demands. They called for the immediate arrest of the accused individuals and insisted on a government job for one of the deceased's dependents, highlighting the family's precarious financial situation.

Details of the Fatal Incident

According to accounts from local residents, the violent episode unfolded on April 18 when an argument erupted between two brothers, Ranjay Singh and Gore Singh, in the village. Nirmal Singh intervened in an effort to calm the situation and settle the clash peacefully.
