JDA Accountant, Brother-in-Law Held in 2020 Forest Guard Exam Paper Leak
JDA Accountant Arrested in Forest Guard Exam Paper Leak

In a significant development in a government job recruitment scandal, the Rajasthan police's Special Operations Group (SOG) has made two key arrests. The individuals apprehended are an accountant employed with the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) and his brother-in-law, both implicated in the Forest Guard Recruitment Examination, 2020 paper leak case.

Key Accused and Their Roles

SOG Additional Director General Vishal Bansal identified the arrested men as Aman Jorwal and Saurabh Kumar Meena. Jorwal, a permanent resident of Azizpur in Karauli district who currently lives in Jaipur's Kartarpura area, was posted as an accountant at the JDA. His brother-in-law, Saurabh Kumar Meena, hails from Mahuwa in Dausa district and was working as a forest guard at the Bodal Naka outpost under Gudha Range in Sawai Madhopur district.

According to the police, the primary allegation against Jorwal is that he used a leaked question paper to help Meena cheat and secure the coveted government job. The investigation, however, revealed a wider conspiracy for financial gain.

Wider Cheating Racket Uncovered

Deputy Inspector General of SOG, Paris Deshmukh, disclosed that the probe found Jorwal did not stop at aiding his relative. He is accused of providing solved answer sheets to four other candidates appearing for the same examination. For this illicit assistance, Jorwal allegedly collected a substantial sum of money totaling Rs 9.5 lakh from these individuals.

The entire operation came to light following the recent arrest of the alleged mastermind, Jabra Ram Jat. Jat, described as a notorious criminal with a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head, was taken into custody by the SOG. His interrogation led the investigators to the roles played by Jorwal and Meena in the paper leak and cheating syndicate.

Ongoing Investigation and Exam Details

The Forest Guard Recruitment Examination, 2020 was conducted by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board on 13 November 2022. The paper leak undermined the integrity of this recruitment process meant for a state government position. With the latest arrests, the SOG has intensified its crackdown on the network involved.

Authorities have confirmed that the hunt is now on for the four other candidates who allegedly paid Jorwal for the solved answers. The SOG is pursuing all leads to ensure every individual involved in compromising the examination faces legal consequences.

This case highlights the persistent challenge of paper leaks in competitive government job exams in India and the sophisticated networks that operate to bypass the system for monetary gain. The Rajasthan SOG's actions signal a continued effort to dismantle such rackets and restore faith in public recruitment processes.
