Jhansi Woman Critically Injured in Brutal Stabbing Attack by Brother-in-Law
In a shocking incident in the Nainagarh area of Jhansi, a 36-year-old married woman sustained critical injuries after being repeatedly stabbed by her 25-year-old brother-in-law on Saturday. The accused, identified as her husband's cousin, later died by suicide, according to police reports.

The attack occurred early in the morning while the woman's husband, a loader driver, was away at work. The victim was preparing her five-year-old daughter for school when the accused entered the house, locked the door from inside, and launched a vicious stabbing assault. Hearing her mother's screams, the child ran to the terrace and shouted for help, alerting neighbors.
By the time neighbors arrived at the scene, the accused had already fled. Police promptly shifted the critically injured woman to Jhansi Medical College, where she remains in serious condition. A few hours later, during a police search operation, the accused was found hanging in a nearby shop, confirming his death by suicide.
