In a decisive move to combat the escalating drug crisis, Jammu & Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha officially inaugurated the "Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyaan" on Saturday. This comprehensive 100-day campaign is specifically designed to eradicate the drug menace from the Union Territory by aggressively targeting the supply chain of contraband substances, particularly those originating from Pakistan, and ensuring severe, exemplary punishment for narcotics traffickers.
Administration's Firm Commitment to Protecting Youth
Speaking at the launch event, which commenced with a symbolic foot march from the historic Maulana Azad Stadium in Jammu, Lieutenant Governor Sinha emphasized the administration's unwavering dedication to confronting this pervasive social evil. "The administration is fully committed to effectively tackling this destructive social issue and safeguarding the future of our youth across the entire Union Territory," Sinha declared, setting a determined tone for the ambitious initiative.
Addressing Cross-Border Smuggling and National Security Threats
The Lieutenant Governor did not mince words when addressing the external dimension of the problem.
