Kanpur Police Conducts Comprehensive Security Review for Ganga Mela Procession

In a proactive move to ensure public safety, Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Vipin Tada conducted a detailed spot inspection on Saturday in Kanpur. The inspection focused on evaluating security and logistical arrangements for the upcoming Ganga Mela procession, scheduled to commence on March 10 from Hatiya in the Thana Mulganj area under the East Zone.

Key Areas of Focus During Inspection

During the on-site review, a thorough assessment was carried out covering multiple critical aspects to guarantee a smooth and secure event. The inspection team meticulously examined the procession route, traffic management strategies, planned route diversions, barricading setups, crowd control measures, and arrangements at Sarsaiya Ghat. All other necessary security protocols were also scrutinized to identify and address any potential gaps.

Necessary directions were issued to the officers present to ensure the event is conducted in a safe, orderly, and peaceful manner. Emphasis was placed on coordination and preparedness to handle any contingencies that might arise during the procession.
