A man was arrested on Tuesday evening for allegedly stabbing a 16-year-old girl in Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram district after she rejected his marriage proposal.
Incident Details
The incident took place at Kanyakulangara near Vattappara earlier in the day. According to police, the accused, identified as Fahad, allegedly attacked the teenager and stabbed her in the neck after she turned down his proposal.
Arrest and Medical Response
Following the attack, he went into hiding and was arrested in the evening, police said.
The injured girl was rushed to the Thiruvananthapuram Medical college hospital for treatment. Police said her condition is currently stable.
