Tragic Suicide in Kerala Following Police Case Over Private Visuals
A 27-year-old youth, identified as Kiran Kumar from Thonnakkal, was found dead by suicide on Monday morning in Chirayinkeezhu, Kerala. The incident occurred just days after a police case was registered against him based on a complaint from the family of a woman he was in a relationship with.
Details of the Incident
According to the Chirayinkeezhu police, the tragedy unfolded around 6 AM at the residence of a close friend where Kiran had been staying for the past two days. He was discovered hanging inside the house and was immediately rushed to the Government Taluk Hospital in Chirayinkeezhu. Unfortunately, he was declared brought dead upon arrival at the medical facility.
Background of the Police Case
The case against Kiran Kumar was filed by the woman's family, who alleged that private visuals of the woman, which were recorded on Kiran's mobile phone, had been circulated without consent. Based on this complaint, the police booked four individuals, including Kiran, for their involvement in the matter.
Mental Distress and Claims of Innocence
Sources close to Kiran revealed that he was under severe mental distress following the registration of the police case. He reportedly told his relatives and friends that he did not share or circulate the private visuals. Kiran suspected that the content stored on his phone might have been leaked by someone else without his knowledge, adding to his anguish.
