Key Bishnoi Gang Member Arrested in Gurgaon Operation

In a significant breakthrough against organized crime, the Rajasthan Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) apprehended a crucial member of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang during a meticulously planned operation in Gurgaon on Thursday.

Major Arrest in Gurgaon Flat

The arrested individual has been identified as Pradeep Gurjar, aged 30, who was hiding in a residential flat in Gurgaon. According to authorities, Gurjar played a pivotal role in operating an extensive extortion network that targeted areas including Kotputli and surrounding regions.

Additional Director General of AGTF, Dinesh MN, revealed that Gurjar wasn't just a minor operative but held significant influence within the criminal underworld. "Gurjar actively collaborated with Lawrence Bishnoi's associate, Sachin Thapan, in recruiting young men from multiple locations including Kotputli, Behror, Bansur, Bhilwara, and Gurgaon," Dinesh stated.

Criminal Empire and Gang History

The investigation uncovered that Gurjar had risen through the ranks of the criminal organization known as the 6161 gang. This gang originally emerged in Bhilwara under the leadership of Hari Tanwar and was subsequently taken over by Vinod Mandli.

Following Mandli's murder, Pradeep Gurjar assumed control of the gang's operations, expanding its criminal activities and forming alliances with other notorious gangs, including the Lawrence Bishnoi syndicate.

Extensive Criminal Record Revealed

Additional Superintendent of Police, AGTF, Sidhant Sharma, disclosed alarming details about Gurjar's criminal background. "His criminal record includes over three dozen serious cases spanning various police jurisdictions," Sharma confirmed.

The charges against the arrested gang member are extensive and include:

  • Extortion
  • Bank robbery
  • Dacoity
  • Murder
  • Attempted murder

Most of these cases are registered at the Kotputli police station, indicating his stronghold in the region. The authorities had already announced a reward of Rs 25,000 for information leading to his capture.

Sophisticated Investigation Techniques

The breakthrough in the case came after investigators conducted meticulous surveillance and analyzed more than 150 CCTV recordings from various locations. This digital evidence trail ultimately led the task force to Gurjar's hideout in Gurgaon.

The successful operation marks a significant achievement for the AGTF in their ongoing campaign against organized crime networks operating across state borders. The arrest is expected to disrupt extortion activities in the Kotputli region and provide crucial intelligence about the operations of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
