A 32-year-old government employee, Hafijur Rahaman, was allegedly assaulted and wrongfully restrained by a group of men inside an office in Entally, Kolkata, while performing his official duties on Tuesday afternoon. The police have arrested the prime accused, Avijit Das (36), and are actively searching for his accomplices.

Rahaman, a resident of Bechulal Road, was on duty at an office on Ananda Palit Road when Das, along with several others, reportedly barged into the premises.
