According to police officials, the teenage girl was in a relationship with a youth from Ashoknagar. However, in recent times, this relationship reportedly deteriorated significantly, becoming a source of intense mental anguish and psychological distress for the young student. Local residents reported that the girl was discovered in a critical condition inside her home shortly after an alleged video conversation with her boyfriend.
Her family members immediately rushed her to Barasat Medical College and Hospital, but medical professionals declared her dead upon arrival. A police officer disclosed that preliminary investigations suggest the girl hung herself after tying a scarf to her room's ceiling fan.
