Koraput Police Deploy 13 Platoons for Ram Navami Procession Security in Jeypore
In preparation for the upcoming Ram Navami celebrations, the Koraput district police have implemented comprehensive security measures in Jeypore. A massive religious procession is anticipated to attract a large number of devotees, necessitating robust arrangements to maintain law and order.
Elaborate Security Deployment Across Key Areas
Superintendent of Police (Koraput) Rohit Verma announced that 13 platoons of police force will be strategically deployed throughout Jeypore. This deployment aims to ensure the smooth passage of the procession, which will commence from Power House Square and proceed to Dussehra Ground, covering significant parts of the town.
Sensitive zones have been identified, and adequate police personnel will be stationed in these areas to prevent any untoward incidents. "We have taken all necessary precautions to safeguard the event," stated SP Verma, emphasizing the priority on public safety.
Focus on Women's Safety and Community Cooperation
Recognizing the significant participation of women in the procession, the police have planned adequate deployment of women police personnel. "This measure is crucial to ensure the safety and convenience of female devotees," added SP Verma, highlighting the inclusive approach to security.
In a proactive move, police along with Border Security Force (BSF) personnel conducted a flag march on Tuesday evening. This march covered a nearly 3-kilometer stretch from Power House Square to the Town police station, demonstrating preparedness and deterring potential disruptions.
Appeal for Peaceful Celebrations
Authorities are urging the public to cooperate with the administration to foster a harmonious festival environment. "We appeal to everyone to celebrate Ram Navami in a peaceful and cooperative manner," SP Verma reiterated, stressing the importance of community support in ensuring a successful event.
The security arrangements reflect a meticulous plan to handle the expected large crowds, with continuous monitoring and quick response capabilities in place. The police are committed to providing a secure atmosphere for all participants, allowing devotees to observe the religious occasion without concerns.
