Ravi, a 45-year-old forest officer attached to the Kunigal range, was using a hose to water the exterior walls of his house, a common practice to strengthen newly plastered surfaces. Neighbors heard his cries and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Police have registered a case of unnatural death and are investigating the circumstances, including whether the electrical wiring was faulty or improperly installed.
