Kurukshetra: SUV Attack Leaves Two Injured in Financial Feud

Kurukshetra: In the early hours of Sunday, gunmen in an SUV fired multiple rounds at two youths in Kurukshetra's Rotary Chowk area. The attack is suspected to be linked to an old rivalry stemming from a financial dispute.

Attack Details

Police reported that the incident occurred at around 3 am. The victims, identified as Aman and Prince, both aged 20, were local residents. Five men carried out the attack, which was triggered by an old dispute related to monetary transactions. Both victims sustained bullet injuries to their legs and were promptly rushed to the civil hospital.

Suspects and Vehicle

The attackers abandoned their vehicle after their SUV spun out of control and plunged into a drain. They fled on foot. Police have since seized the vehicle. DSP Sunil Kumar stated that the injured Aman, a resident of Kirti Nagar, and one of the assailants, Rahul, have multiple criminal cases registered against them.

Legal Action

Based on a complaint filed by Prince, police have registered a case against Rahul of Barna village, Toni of Kurukshetra, and three unidentified persons. Charges include attempt to murder and violations under the Arms Act. Police recovered five bullet shells from the crime scene and are conducting raids to apprehend the suspects.
