He opened a bottle he was carrying and poured acid upon both the woman and her daughter, causing devastating injuries.
Both victims were hospitalised for many days, with the mother suffering burns all over her body. The court not only handed down the life sentence but also directed compensation of Rs 2 lakh to the young girl, acknowledging the profound physical and emotional trauma inflicted upon her.
