The elder brother of the victim, Md Abdul Aziz, also attended the same wedding celebration. Following the ceremony, both brothers stayed overnight at their sister's residence located in Garhani, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Charpokhari police station in Bhojpur district.

"In the morning of April 23, 2024, Md Abdul Aziz, a retired schoolteacher, shot dead his younger brother, Md Liyakat Ali," the APP revealed.
