London School Stabbing: Two Boys Hospitalized, Teen Suspect Hunted
Two young boys, aged 12 and 13, were stabbed at Kingsbury High School in north London on Tuesday afternoon, February 10, according to police reports. The violent attack occurred on Bacon Lane in the Brent area, triggering a massive emergency response and forcing the school into immediate lockdown. Both victims were rushed to nearby hospitals for urgent medical treatment.
Emergency Services Deploy Specialist Teams
The London Ambulance Service confirmed they received an emergency call at 12:41 PM on February 10 and dispatched multiple specialist units to the scene. "We sent resources to the scene including ambulance crews, incident response officers, an advanced paramedic, a paramedic from our tactical response unit and a clinical team manager," an LAS spokesperson stated. "We also dispatched a trauma team in a car from London’s Air Ambulance. We treated two patients in total. We took one patient to hospital and the other as a priority to a major trauma centre."
One of the injured boys was transported to a major trauma center as a high-priority case, while the other was admitted for treatment at a separate hospital facility. The current medical conditions of both victims remain unknown as medical teams continue their assessment and care.
School Campus Remains in Lockdown
Kingsbury High School administration confirmed the serious incident while assuring parents and the community that the situation is now under control. The school campus remains in lockdown as emergency response operations continue on site.
"We want to make you aware that there has been a serious incident at Kingsbury High School today," the school stated in an official communication. "We are working closely with the relevant authorities and following all necessary procedures. The situation is now under control, and we have already spoken directly with the parents and carers of the students involved."
The school administration further explained that entry and exit from the school premises remain restricted while emergency operations continue. "At present, it is not possible to enter or leave the school site while the response continues. We will provide further updates as soon as we are able to share confirmed information," the statement added.
Police Launch Urgent Hunt for Teenage Suspect
The Metropolitan Police have launched an urgent investigation and are actively searching for a suspect believed to be a teenage boy. No arrests have been made at this time as police continue their intensive search operations.
Detective Chief Superintendent Luke Williams, who leads policing operations in northwest London, acknowledged the community's concerns while detailing the police response. "We recognise that this incident will cause considerable concern within the community," he stated. "We want to reassure local students, parents and local residents that we have deployed significant resources to the area and are doing everything we can to locate the suspect."
Williams extended his thoughts to the injured boys and expressed gratitude to the medical professionals providing care. "Our thoughts are with the injured boys, and I want to thank the paramedics and doctors who are providing them both with care," he added.
