In a display of remarkable efficiency, the Alambagh police station in Lucknow cracked a burglary case within a mere ten hours, leading to the arrest of four individuals and the complete recovery of stolen property, including cash and electronic items.

Swift Response to a Midnight Break-In

The incident came to light when a complaint was lodged on December 5. The owner of Satyam Store, located on Talkatora Road, reported that unidentified burglars had cut through the rear wall of his shop and made off with valuables. The stolen items included approximately Rs 30,000 in cash, a CCTV DVR system, and a mobile phone.

Acting promptly on the complaint, the police registered a First Information Report (FIR) at the Alambagh police station. ACP Cantonment Abhay Pratap Mall confirmed that the case was registered under relevant sections of the new Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), specifically Sections 305(A) and 331(4).

Tip-Off Leads to Rapid Arrests

The investigation gained momentum from a crucial tip-off. Additional DCP Central Jitendra Dubey stated that acting on this information, a police team moved swiftly and apprehended the four accused in the early hours of December 6.

The arrests took place around 12:43 am on C&W Road in Alambagh. The individuals taken into custody were identified as Amit (22), Akash (22), Yash Chauhan (20), and Shubham (20).

Following this recovery, the police added Section 317(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita to the existing case. The SHO of Alambagh, Subhash Chandra Saroj, oversaw the operation that led to this swift resolution, highlighting the police department's commitment to tackling property crimes effectively.

This case underscores the importance of prompt reporting by citizens and rapid response by law enforcement. The successful crackdown in a tight timeframe sends a strong message against criminal activities in the city and showcases the application of the new legal framework in real-time action.
