Assistant Commissioner of Police (Industrial Area-A) Inderjit Singh Boparai confirmed that Billa had seven criminal cases registered against him, describing him as a "notorious criminal with a significant record." The police official emphasized that the preliminary investigation points toward a long-standing feud with individuals from Billa's own locality as the likely motive behind the brutal killing.
