Prayagraj Man Arrested for Alleged Attack on Police and Vehicle Damage
In a recent incident in Prayagraj, a 26-year-old man was apprehended by Pratapgarh police on Sunday, facing serious charges related to an assault on law enforcement officers and the destruction of their vehicle. The accused, identified as Arun Kumar, hails from Devri Hardo and was reportedly involved in a group that targeted policemen who had arrived to mediate a dispute between two factions at Devri Hardo Patti village.

The altercation escalated when the miscreants allegedly pelted stones at the police party, resulting in significant damage to their Police Response Vehicle (PRV). In response to this violent episode, an FIR has been registered under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including sections 191(1), 352, 351(3), 121, 132, 109(1), 115(2), 125, and 324(5). The charges have been filed against five named individuals, with Arun Kumar being the first to be arrested.
Arun Kumar was captured near the Ganga Expressway road while he was allegedly attempting to flee the area. Police teams are currently conducting extensive raids to locate and apprehend the remaining suspects involved in this case.
