Man Arrested for Killing Wife with Tile Cutting Machine

Bokaro: A 59-year-old man was arrested on Sunday for allegedly killing his wife with a tile and marble cutting machine at Sirmadih village in Giridih district on Saturday evening, police said. The deceased was identified as Kursi Devi, 55.

Arrest and Investigation

Family members discovered the death on Sunday and alerted police. After receiving information, Giridih SP Bimal Kumar directed Sariya-Bagodar subdivisional police officer (SDPO), Dhananjay Kumar, to take immediate action. A police team reached the village and arrested the accused, identified as Daulat Sao.

Police said preliminary probe indicated the couple had frequent disputes over a family-related issue. Investigators suspect an argument on Saturday evening escalated into violence, leading to the woman's death.

Possible Motive

Locals claimed the murder may be linked to an alleged extramarital relationship. Police, however, said all angles are being examined. “Preliminary findings indicate that Daulat brutally killed his wife. Whether the crime was linked to an illicit relationship or some other reason is being investigated,” the SDPO said.

Villagers gathered near the deceased's house as news spread. The investigation is ongoing.
