A female student recorded the incident on January 16 while walking back to her hostel in the Fatehgunj area. The video clearly showed the man engaging in obscene behavior. She immediately shared the footage on social media, where it quickly gained attention.
Police Investigation and Arrest
Police authorities traced the accused, identified as Feroz Pathan, through his motorbike's licence plate number visible in the video. Officers contacted the student after she posted the video online and collected her detailed statement.
According to the official complaint, Pathan, a resident of Chhani, was seen exposing himself while sitting on his motorbike outside the girls hostel. The student confronted him directly, prompting him to flee the scene immediately.
Pattern of Behavior
The student revealed that other girls had informed her about Pathan's regular presence outside the hostel. They reported that he often parked his motorbike there and engaged in similar obscene behavior on multiple occasions.
Sayajigunj police have now arrested Feroz Pathan based on the evidence and statements collected. The case highlights the importance of community vigilance and prompt police response in such matters.
