A joyous wedding celebration turned into tragedy in Jalaun district when a 27-year-old man lost his life after being struck by a speeding SUV during a wedding procession on Saturday night. The incident has left the local community in shock and mourning.
Details of the Fatal Incident
Shivam Saini, a resident of Bijapur village in the Aata police station area, had traveled to Noor Garden in Kadaura to attend a relative's wedding ceremony. The young man was actively participating in the festivities, dancing enthusiastically with other guests during the baraat procession.
According to eyewitness accounts, the tragedy occurred when a speeding SUV plowed through the wedding procession, directly hitting Saini. The impact was so severe that he was thrown a considerable distance through the air, immediately creating chaos and panic among the wedding attendees.
Immediate Response and Investigation
Wedding guests quickly apprehended the driver of the vehicle and alerted local police authorities. Saini was rushed to Medical College Orai for emergency treatment, but he succumbed to his injuries during medical care.
Police have confirmed that the body has been sent for postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. Meanwhile, law enforcement officials have taken the driver into custody and seized the vehicle involved in the tragic accident.
Kadaura police station in-charge Inspector Prabhat Singh stated that investigation is actively ongoing. Police are collecting CCTV footage from the incident site and recording statements from eyewitnesses to piece together the complete sequence of events.
